Pages look almost exactly like Timelines, just for the not-quite-people among us. Instead of becoming friends with Pages, you can like them.
Liking Pages for businesses or causes helps you stay up-to-date with news from them.
If you’re the one managing something like a small business, a cause, or a newsletter, you can also create a page. After you’ve created that page, your users/customers/fans can like it, and then you can update them with news about whatever’s going on in the world of your store/cause/thing.

We apply the blue verification badge to eligible brands, media organizations and public figures. Eligibility for the blue verification badge is based on a variety of factors, such as account completeness, policy compliance and public interest.

You can recommend businesses that have turned on Recommendations for their Page.
Insights about your Page's recommendations are the number of times that people have recommended your Page in posts or comments.

When you boost your post it will appear higher in your audience's News Feed and be seen by users who haven't yet liked your page.
Boosted Posts are the most basic advertising option Facebook has to offer. Organic reach on Facebook is low across the board to begin with, which means that a post on its own is likely to reach a very small portion of your target audience. With Boosted Posts,  Facebook takes a previously shared post from your facebook business page and makes it more prominent across the platform.
